We were lucky enough to take out the Adelaide Alleyway Band Competition last night and have won the opportunity to open the Adelaide Laneway Festival on February 10, 2012. A HUGE thank you again goes to out to Fringe Benefits for nominating us to play the competition and giving us this opportunity. Hopefully we'll see a few of you there! Sunday 15 January Thanks to everyone that came out yesterday and made Moving Music such a great success. In other news, we're heading into Mix Masters later this month to record our sophomore LP with Duncan Campbell. Campbell is an incredibly talented sound designer and composer whose latest projects have included composing the original score for Roadman, which won the Best Thriller Award at the Barossa Film Festival, and assuming lead sound effects editor for SBS's latest TV series, Danger 5 - set to air this year. Campbell mixed our debut album Cables and we are extremely excited to enter the studio with him as an engineer this time around. An iTunes option will also appear in the not-too-distant-future. Thanks also for all the support you are showing for the new film clip. It means something! Saturday 30 July Thank you to those who attended our Single Launch at the Art Gallery last Friday night. It was a special evening. Our new songs, Collision and Ink, will soon be available to purchase from iTunes and our online store, and our new film clip is now streaming on Vimeo and Youtube. Monday 23 August Thanks to those that sat or stood to watch us play at Vinylpalooza yesterday. 'Cables' is now available for purchase at Clarity Records and Mr V Music in Adelaide. In other news we're playing with Seabellies and our buddies Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! in late October at the Ed Castle. This Thursday we're at the Grace Darling Hotel so please come down and have a drink Melbourne! Monday 9 August Cloud Control are about to embark on a national tour in support of their single 'There's Nothing In The Water We Can't Fight' and we've been asked to open the show in Adelaide. Also appearing will be Sydney's Seekae so it'll be worth getting there early. Details are on the gig page. Tuesday 20 July Exciting news: we're supporting Midnight Juggernauts with Dappled Cities on August 12th at The Gov. Any good at anagrams? We're running a competition on Facebook to win a free ticket to the show. Give it a shot here. Sunday 18 July Thank you to everybody that came out to our record launch at Jive last Saturday. The night was a sell-out and we were completely humbled by your support. Dom Alessio from Triple J's Home & Hosed was there and has posted a review of the night on Mess + Noise. We're playing two shows in Sydney this coming weekend, more info on the GIGS page. Wednesday 7 July Parallel Lines on a Slow Decline have written a great review of our album 'Cables'. You can read it here. You'll finally be able to get your hands on a copy when we release it on Saturday at Jive, and in Sydney later this month. And in other great news Sydney radio station FBI has added the song 'Spirits' to rotation and Cables will be feature album of the week on Three D Radio from Saturday. Monday 28 June Really nice review of our album Cables on the AU Review. Which, by the way, is being launched at Jive on the 10th of July with our great friends Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! Wednesday 9 June Our first music video for the song 'Closer' (above) is finished and is featured on Triple J's Home & Hosed blog here! Tuesday 18 May We're going to be playing with Parades for their Adelaide album launch on June 5. 'Foreign Tapes' has been on high rotation around our abodes, and we are really excited to be playing with these guys. Come along to this show, we'll have our first batch of band tees for sale too.
